Plans and coordinates private or government industrial health
program requiring application of engineering principles and
technology to analyze and control conditions contributing to
occupational hazards and diseases: Conducts plant or area
surveys to determine safe limits of exposure to materials or
conditions, such as temperatures, noise, dusts, fumes, vapors,
mists, gases, solvents, and radiation which are known or
suspected of being real or potential detriments to health, and
implements or recommends control measures. Directs workers
engaged in field and laboratory verification of compliance with
haelth regulations. Provides technical guidnace to management,
labor organizations, government agencies, and civic groups
regarding health-related problems, such as stream and air
pollution and correct use of protective clothing or accessories.
